How To Prepare for a Hurricane: Make a Family Emergency Plan and Supply Kit

Hurricane Earl’s projected path is tracking right up the east coast and it’s headed your way. Prepare for Hurricane Earl, and pack your emergency supply kit now. Making a family emergency plan is one of the most important things you can do for your family’s safety and well being during a major storm, such as the one Hurricane Earl is promising to pummel the east coast with this week.

Hurricane Preparedness: Plan Your Escape Route Now

Although much of the east coast is still sunny and hot, the calm before the storm is deceiving. Plan now before it’s too late, and you’re stuck in traffic with no gas in your car. Fill up your car now. Get all your important documents together like insurance policies, driver’s license, and prescriptions, make copies of them, and seal them in watertight plastic bags. Plan your escape route by making sure everyone knows the plan.
